Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
Effective: October 4, 2026
Short version: CueIRL carries live streams for people all over the world, and that only works when everyone uses it in good faith. You must follow this policy whenever you use CueIRL. In short: follow the law, respect the people around you and on your stream, do not abuse our servers, and be excellent to each other.
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Service at cueirl.com/terms. Capitalized words that are not defined here, such as Account, Server, Destination, Team Member and Your Content, have the meanings given in the Terms. "We," "us" and "our" mean CueIRL Corporation.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to everything you do with CueIRL and everything you send through it, including:
- your live streams, from any encoder, and everything that is seen or heard in them;
- overlays, images, music, video and other media you upload;
- scene names, titles, chat shown in your chat overlay, and other text in your setup;
- cloud recordings, if you use them; and
- what your Team Members do with your Account.
You are responsible for all of it, including what your Team Members do.
Twitch, Kick, YouTube and every other platform you stream to have their own rules, which are often stricter than ours. You must follow those too. Breaking a platform's rules can get you suspended there, and if it also breaks this policy, it can get you suspended here as well.
2. Follow the law
You are responsible for using the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and with this policy. That includes the laws of the place you are streaming from, which can change as you travel. For IRL streaming, that commonly includes laws on recording people and conversations, privacy, trespass and private property, traffic safety (for example, using a phone while driving), filming permits, gambling, and advertising.
Do not use CueIRL for content or activity that is unlawful or that promotes unlawful activity.
3. Keeping people safe
We do not allow content or activity on CueIRL that:
- is unlawful or promotes unlawful activities;
- is sexually obscene, or relates to sexual exploitation or abuse, including of minors;
- is libelous, defamatory or fraudulent;
- is discriminatory or abusive toward any individual or group;
- harasses or abuses another individual or group, including our employees, officers and agents, or other users;
- threatens or incites violence toward any individual or group, especially on the basis of who they are; or
- gratuitously depicts or glorifies violence, including violent images.
The rules below explain some of these in more detail.
Child sexual exploitation and abuse: zero tolerance
We do not allow any content or conduct that exploits, harms or endangers children, and we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). You may not:
- stream, upload, link to, or otherwise distribute or promote CSAM;
- depict sexualized minors in any form, including drawings, animation, simulations or AI-generated content;
- solicit or advertise CSAM or services involving the exploitation of children;
- engage in or facilitate child grooming, sextortion or the trafficking of minors; or
- glorify, praise, support or give instructions for the abuse of children.
We remove this content as soon as we find it, terminate the Accounts involved without warning, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement as the law requires. If you see content like this, report it to [email protected] and directly to NCMEC's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678. If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.
Non-consensual intimate imagery
We do not allow the distribution of non-consensual intimate imagery. This includes:
- private or intimate images or videos shared without the consent of everyone shown;
- threats to share intimate images or videos;
- sexually suggestive images or video of a person taken in a private setting without their knowledge or consent, such as upskirting, hidden cameras or other voyeurism, including filming in restrooms, changing rooms or similar places; and
- digitally altered or synthetic media that shows a realistic-looking person in a sexually explicit way without their consent.
There may be rare cases where this kind of content is shared for a legitimate purpose, such as news reporting, education or human rights work. We review those case by case, and we may make an exception only when the content is not gratuitous and serves a clear public interest.
Sexually obscene content
We do not allow content associated with the sexual exploitation or abuse of another person. We also do not allow sexually themed or suggestive content that serves little or no purpose other than to get an erotic or shocking response. This includes:
- pornographic content;
- non-consensual intimate imagery; and
- graphic depictions of sexual acts, including in photographs, video, animation, drawings, computer-generated images or text.
Not all nudity or content related to sexuality is obscene. We may allow it in artistic, educational, historical or journalistic contexts, or where it relates to advocacy for victims. Remember that the platforms you stream to have their own rules on nudity and sexual content, which are often stricter than ours, and you must follow them too.
Harassment and bullying
We do not tolerate harassment, bullying or abuse of any kind, whether you do it directly or encourage others to take part. This includes:
- targeted personal attacks, on stream or off;
- piling on to, or organizing, raids, brigading or other activity aimed at a person in a way that amounts to abuse;
- following, filming or confronting a person to intimidate or humiliate them, or to provoke a reaction for your stream;
- making sexual advances or comments directed at another person;
- making false reports to police or emergency services about someone (swatting), or encouraging others to do it; and
- creating new Accounts to evade action we have taken.
Not all unwelcome conduct is harassment. Disagreeing with someone, or criticizing public figures, public projects or topics of public interest, does not necessarily fall under this policy. We take context into account.
Threats, violence and violent extremism
You may not use CueIRL to organize, promote, encourage, threaten or incite acts of violence, and you may not stream or upload content that glorifies violence or physical harm against people or animals. This includes:
- threatening anyone with abuse, harm, sexual violence or death;
- graphic depictions of violence toward yourself, another person, a group or an animal, shown to glorify it or for shock value;
- encouraging anyone to harm themselves;
- streaming an attack or other act of serious violence as it happens in order to promote or glorify it;
- organizing, inciting, planning, coordinating or calling for violence, attacks or other illegal harm; and
- recruiting for, promoting, financing or otherwise supporting terrorist or violent extremist groups, sharing their propaganda or manifestos, glorifying their acts, or displaying their symbols in a way that endorses them.
There can be legitimate reasons to show violent or extremist material, such as news reporting, documentary, education, historical events or counter-extremism work. Keep it to a minimum, place it in a clear context, never support the violence, and give viewers a clear warning. Even then, we may restrict or remove it if we decide it could be misused or poses a risk. If we become aware of credible evidence that a user is involved in terrorism or violent extremism outside CueIRL, we may suspend or terminate their Account and report it to law enforcement.
Hate speech and discrimination
We do not tolerate speech that attacks or promotes hate toward a person or group on the basis of who they are, including age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, sex, sexual identity or sexual orientation. This includes:
- mocking, attacking or excluding a person or group based on those characteristics or their beliefs;
- displaying clear affiliation or identification with terrorist or violent extremist organizations;
- supporting or promoting hate groups or hate-based conspiracy theories;
- sharing symbols or images associated with hate;
- using harmful stereotypes, slurs or dehumanizing speech; and
- dog whistling, meaning coded or suggestive language or symbols used to promote abuse or hate.
We are especially committed to fighting hate-based abuse where it falls hardest on communities that have historically been targeted by it.
4. Privacy, doxxing and streaming in public
IRL streaming happens around people who did not choose to be on your stream. Respect them.
Do not broadcast private information
Do not stream, show or post other people's personal information. This includes:
- private email addresses and phone numbers;
- home addresses or other private location information, including a person's live location when it is used to find or follow them;
- bank account information and card numbers;
- government identity numbers, such as Social Security numbers;
- passwords, login codes and stream keys;
- medical information and biometric data; and
- other private information that may create a safety or security risk.
Watch what your camera can see, such as documents, screens, ID cards and phone messages.
Respect privacy and recording laws
- Do not record or broadcast people where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as restrooms, changing rooms, medical settings and private homes, without the consent of the people there.
- Follow the recording and consent laws that apply where you are. In some places, recording a private conversation, including just its audio, requires the consent of everyone in it.
- Respect venue rules and private property. If a business, event or property owner does not allow filming or streaming, follow their rules or leave.
- Take extra care around children, people in vulnerable situations, and anyone who asks not to be filmed.
We may treat photos or video taken or shared without the subject's consent as an invasion of privacy, especially when it creates a safety risk for the person, such as intimidation or harassment. We take context into account, including whether the information is already public. Sharing public information can still break our harassment rules if it is done to harass someone or to encourage abuse.
5. Honesty and authenticity
Impersonation
You may not misrepresent your identity or your association with another person or organization in a way that misleads or deceives others. This includes:
- posing as another streamer, creator, person or organization, including by copying their name, logo, channel art or overlays to deceive viewers;
- using a deceptively similar name;
- using another person's credentials or stream key to access their account or stream to their channel; and
- falsely claiming to be associated with, sponsored by or endorsed by CueIRL or our staff.
Impersonation is a form of harassment and can lead to loss of your Account. Having a name similar to someone else's is not necessarily impersonation, and we take context into account. We generally allow parody and satire that otherwise follow this policy.
Misinformation that causes harm
You may not stream or post content that presents a distorted view of reality, whether it is inaccurate or false (misinformation) or intentionally deceptive (disinformation), where it is likely to harm the public or to interfere with fair and equal opportunities for everyone to take part in a free and open society. This may include:
- inaccurate or scientifically unsupported medical claims that endanger public health or safety;
- manipulated audio or video likely to mislead or deceive in a way that may harm the public interest;
- false or misleading content likely to interfere with a person's ability to take part in civic activities, such as voting; and
- unsubstantiated claims that could promote hate or targeted harassment of specific groups of people.
We encourage people to share ideas, views and experiences, and we are not in a position to dispute personal accounts or observations. We generally allow parody and satire that otherwise follow this policy. We consider context, such as clear disclaimers and citations to credible sources.
Synthetic media and AI tools
You may use AI tools, filters and effects on your stream. You may not use CueIRL to create or broadcast synthetic or manipulated media, such as deepfakes, face swaps or cloned voices, that:
- shows a real person saying or doing something they did not, in a way designed to deceive viewers and likely to cause harm, for example fake statements, fake emergencies, scams or fraud;
- shows a real person in a sexually explicit way without their consent, or sexualizes minors in any way; or
- is violent extremist propaganda or otherwise breaks this policy.
If a platform you stream to requires you to label AI-generated or altered content, follow its rules. When we review content under this section, we look at context, such as how it is presented and whether viewers are told that it is synthetic.
Spam and inauthentic engagement
We do not allow:
- viewbotting, follow bots, fake chatters, or any other way of artificially inflating views, followers, chat activity or other metrics, on CueIRL or on the platforms you stream to;
- buying, selling or trading fake engagement, or taking part in engagement schemes that break a platform's rules;
- fake accounts and other automated inauthentic activity;
- engagement driven by rewards such as cryptocurrency airdrops, tokens, credits, gifts or giveaways that are designed to produce inauthentic activity;
- using CueIRL to spread spam, phishing, scams or get-rich-quick schemes, or to relay unsolicited advertising; or
- using CueIRL as a platform for spreading abuse on other platforms.
Advertising and sponsorships
You may run sponsored segments and ads on your stream. If you do, you are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws and platform rules, including disclosure rules such as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides. You may not promote anything that is illegal or prohibited by our Terms or this policy, and you may not misrepresent what you are promoting.
6. Intellectual property
We do not allow content or activity on CueIRL that infringes any proprietary right of any party, including copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, right of publicity or other right. For live streamers, this means you may not stream or upload any of the following without the rights to do so:
- other people's streams or videos;
- films, TV shows, live sports, pay-per-view events or other paid content;
- music you are not licensed to use; or
- images, fonts, logos or overlays that belong to someone else.
Copyright complaints go through our Copyright and DMCA Policy at cueirl.com/dmca. In appropriate circumstances, we terminate the Accounts of repeat infringers.
7. Using our servers fairly
Your Server and our infrastructure are for live streaming. You may not:
- run anything on your Server that is not part of the streaming workload we provide, including cryptocurrency mining, torrenting, proxies, VPN exits, file hosting, port scanning or bulk automation;
- use CueIRL to deliver malware, or as attack infrastructure, for example to organize denial of service attacks or to run command and control servers;
- attack, probe, scan or overload CueIRL's systems, or try to gain unauthorized access to them;
- use our servers to disrupt, or to gain unauthorized access to, any service, device, data, account or network;
- place an undue burden on our servers through automated means;
- reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any part of the Service, use of the Service or access to the Service, or share your Server capacity or Ingests with anyone outside your Account, unless you have a signed Custom agreement with us that allows it;
- get around plan limits or billing, including the Starter plan's 25 streaming hours per month, Ingest counts, quality limits, team seat limits and free trial limits, for example by creating extra Accounts;
- share your Account or login with people beyond the team seats on your plan;
- reverse engineer, decompile or copy our software, except where the law or an open source license allows it; or
- scrape our Website, or use information from the Service, such as viewer names or chat messages, for spam or to sell personal information.
Excessive use. Plans with unlimited streaming have no monthly cap on streaming hours, but bandwidth and resource limits still apply. If we determine that your bandwidth or resource use is significantly excessive in relation to other users of similar features, we reserve the right to suspend your Account, throttle your streams, or otherwise limit your activity until you reduce it.
Security issues. If you find a security vulnerability in CueIRL, please tell us at [email protected]. Testing our systems without our written permission is not allowed.
8. Personal information you collect through CueIRL
Misuse of personal information is prohibited. If you collect personal information through the Service, such as viewer usernames or chat messages, you agree to use it only for the purpose for which those people made it available, to reasonably secure it, and to respond promptly to complaints, removal requests and "do not contact" requests from us or from those people. You must also comply with the privacy laws that apply to you.
9. Protecting users as a whole
You must not engage in activity that significantly harms other users. We will interpret our policies and resolve disputes in favor of protecting users as a whole.
10. Reporting a violation
If you see something on CueIRL that breaks this policy, email [email protected]. Please include the CueIRL username or channel involved, where and when it happened (the platform, the channel's web address, and the date, time and time zone), and what you saw.
- For child sexual exploitation, also report directly to NCMEC as described in section 3.
- If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.
- For copyright complaints, follow our Copyright and DMCA Policy at cueirl.com/dmca.
- If the content is on Twitch, Kick, YouTube or another platform, report it to that platform too, because that platform controls what is shown there.
11. Enforcement
We have full discretion to take action in response to a violation of this policy. Depending on the nature and seriousness of the violation, we may:
- warn you;
- remove or disable Content, such as an uploaded overlay or media file;
- stop a live stream, or the output to one or more Destinations;
- limit features, throttle usage or restrict your Account;
- suspend or terminate your Account; and
- report the activity to law enforcement or other authorities where appropriate or required.
We take context into account, such as public interest, newsworthiness, intent, and whether it is a first or a repeated violation. For serious violations, such as child sexual exploitation, credible threats of violence or attacks on our systems, we may act immediately and without warning. Where we can, we will tell you what we did and why. Suspension and termination are also governed by our Terms of Service, including what happens to fees you have paid.
12. Appeals and reinstatement
We sometimes make mistakes. If we removed or disabled your Content, stopped your stream, or suspended or terminated your Account, you can ask us to reinstate it, or you can appeal the decision.
- A reinstatement request is for when you want your Account or Content back, you are willing to make any changes needed to fix the violation, and you agree not to break our terms going forward.
- An appeal is for when you dispute that a violation happened and can give us more information showing that a different decision should have been made.
To ask for either, email [email protected] with "Appeal" or "Reinstatement" in the subject line. Send it from the email address on your Account, or include your username, and explain the decision and why it should change. You may appeal a decision for up to six months after it was made. We may refuse to consider appeals sent after that.
A person, not an automated system, reviews every appeal. Where possible, someone other than the person who made the first decision will review it. We will reverse or change our decision if the appeal shows that our decision was mistaken, that the content or conduct was not illegal and not against our terms, or that it deserves a less severe action than the one we took. We will answer every legitimate appeal and reinstatement request with a decision.
If you are in the European Union or another place whose laws give you further ways to challenge a decision, such as an out-of-court dispute settlement body, you may also use them.
For copyright removals, use the counter notice process in our Copyright and DMCA Policy instead of an appeal.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes follow the process in section 25 of our Terms of Service, and the date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
